what we have here is my feet in the emergency room. all it took was stepping on a 4 inch long 1/8th inch wide nail, piercing my shoe, through my sock and into the middle of my left foot. ouch. i was at the garden plot doing some work... and i just got out of my car near the garden and BAM - right into me. so, i pulled it out, unloaded some soil from my car, then spent over an hour at the emergency room.
tetanus shot - check
antibiotics - check
vicodin - check (this is not a bad thing)
then i returned to the garden b/c, seriously, i had a little more work to do. we're talking about the well-being of peppers here... come on. a man can't ditch out on tending to the peppers when a mere nail enters the foot. we're talking about the livelihood of summer '06 teetering on the brink of disaster, and dammit, i stand for the peppers.
peace.

Not a good weekend for the Rasltons, but hey, that's neither fish nor fowl... Thanks for taking care of me.

Rusty . . . no, thank you for being so surly on Sunday night! It was honestly one of the most memorable nights I've had here in Boulder--memorable in a good way. I still laugh out loud to myself when I think of you hitting the innocent bystander in the head with a dough ball. So funny. And let's not forget about the amazing song we all made together. I'm glad I could contribute that one note. :) What a great night . . . Anyway, I've enjoyed reading your blog--great thoughts! Well, I'll see you soon! Let me know if you want to join us for the cruiser bike ride tomorrow night. Should be fun!
