What you put in the earth does not disappear... it comes back around. What a thought. I know what you're saying... You mean, the earth isn't a garbage sucking vacuum?
For instance, THIS article in the tennessean that shows how when we use fertilizers in our yards, rain washes them to our rivers, then to our water supply... and out from our faucets.
I know, what a crazy thought that there is a direct connection between our individual actions and the health of our environment.
Just another reason why we as individuals can make a difference. Whether it's not using chemicals in our yards... or eating organic so we're not paying for other people to use chemicals in their yards, that inevitably affect us at some point down the line... rendering the soil useless and our water supply full of harmful toxins.
Seems like an obvious thing, but it's been lost in the last 50 years of agri-business that looks out for the dollar and not our health. Flip the script.
